Dr. Vinaya Manchaiah, Board of Director - Strategic Planning
Dr. Manchaiah holds the Jo Mayo Endowed Professor position at the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences, Lamar University, USA. He has served in various clinical, educational, research and management roles in various countries including India, Sweden, United Kingdom and United States. He is a well known researcher in the area of hearing science and has research collaborations in over 10 countries. He has served as one of the Board of Directors of the British Academy of Audiology between 2011 and 2014. He is the co-founder of Audiology India, and has been serving as the President since its beginning in 2011, contributing to its development since 2009.
Dr. Srikanth Chundu, Board of Director – Training & Education
Dr. Chundu is a qualified audiologist currently working as a Senior Lecturer in Audiology at Anglia Ruskin University, UK. He has served in various clinical and educational and management roles. He is the co-founder of Audiology India. He has been serving as a Secretary since it’s beginning in 2011 and has contributed to its development since 2009. He is currently the Board of Director for Education and Training. He has keen interest in charity work and has been instrumental in running our hearing screening camps successfully.
Dr. Sriram Boothalingam, Board of Director – Media & Communications
Dr. Boothalingam is a clinically trained audiologist with a PhD in hearing science. He is currently a postdoctoral research scholar at Northwestern University, USA. Dr. Boothalingam has worked and studied in various countries including Canada, India, United Kingdom, and United States. He has been a part of Audiology India since it’s beginning in 2011 and has contributed to its development since 2010. He currently serves as the Board of Director for Media and Communication.
Dr. Vijayalakshmi Easwar, Board of Director - Research
Dr. Easwar is a clinically trained audiologist with a PhD in hearing science. She is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the Hospital for Sick Children (Neurosciences and Mental health), Toronto, and is affiliated with the Collaborative Program in Neuroscience, University of Toronto, Canada. Dr. Easwar has worked and studied in various countries including Canada, India, and United Kingdom. He has been a part of Audiology India since it’s beginning in 2011 and has contributed to its development since 2010. She currently serves as the Board of Director for Research.
Mr. S. Mohd Ismail, Board of Director - Public Relations
Mr. Ismail is currently working as a Regional Clinical Development Manager at Amplifon India Pvt. Ltd., India. He is trained as both Audiologist and Speech-Language Pathologist, and has served in various clinical and managerial roles. He has been part of Audiology India since it’s beginning in 2011 and currently serves as the Board of Director for Public Relations. In the past, he has led various community-based rehabilitations camps and public awareness campaigns.
Prof. Rajalakshmi Krishna, Board of Director - Community Involvement
Prof. Rajalakshmi is currently working as a Professor of Audiology at the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), University of Mysore, India. She has over 30 years experience in the area of audiology and has served in various clinical, educational and research positions. She has been a part of Audiology India since the beginning of 2015, currently serving as Trustee and Board of Director for Community Involvement. She is also leading Audiology India’s fundraising campaigns.
Dr. Ayaskanta Rout
Dr. Rout is an Associate Professor, Director of Audiology, and the Director of the Hearing Aid Research Laboratory at James Madison University. He is a well-recognized audiologist and academic in the USA and has served in various clinical, educational and research positions. He has been a part of the Audiology India’s Advisory Board since January 2011 and provides strategic input to the Board Members.
Dr. Jagadish Swamy
Dr. Swamy is the Director of Clear Sound Audiology, Florida, USA. He is trained both as an Audiologist and a Speech-Language Pathologist and has practiced in both roles for 20 years in various countries. He has been a part of the Audiology India’s Advisory Board since April 2015, and provides strategic input to the Board Members. He is also leading the Global Audiology project to extend Audiology India’s work across the globe.
Mrs. Devika M. S., Office Manager
Ms. Devika is Audiology India’s Office Manager and is responsible for administrative, banking, accounting, planning and execution of fund raising activities. She is a supporting staff for overall activities of our organization such as community services and campaigns. She holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), Mysore, India. In the past, she has worked in various roles in banking and financial sectors and was responsible for managing auto and personal loans.
